The perception of the world of an abstract thinking mind

We see and understand the world around us through our own perception, however our perception is deeply affected and shaped by the world around us. Philosophers, artists and all kinds of free thinking minds, are battling since ages with the question what reality is! Reality is the state of things as they exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them. Reality includes everything that is and has been, whether or not it is observable or comprehensible. The definition includes that which has existed, exists, or will exist. It´s often contrasted with what is imaginary, illusory, delusional, in the mind, dreams, what is false, what is fictional, or what is abstract.

Abstract thinking is a level of thinking about things that is removed from the facts of the “here and now”, and from specific examples of the things or concepts being thought about.

Seeing reality abstract? Feeling reality different? Does that make the perception of the world and reality unreal or surreal?

Abstract Expressionism is an artistic movement of the mid-20th century comprising diverse styles and techniques and emphasizing especially an artist’s liberty to convey attitudes and emotions through non-traditional and usually non-representational means. Abstract Expressionism is the perception of the world and reality brought out through the artist´s mind, emotions, inputs of his surrounding and what affects the artist in that moment.

The reality and perception of the abstract mind and the expression of reality and the world surrounding the artist…that´s the art of Missy S.!

Reality doesn’t impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.
